$A Replaces $EOS as the Network’s Native Token

Vaulta’s evolution from EOS is approaching its final stage. On May 14, Vaulta will launch the official token swap, introducing $A as the new symbol for the network’s native utility token. $EOS token holders will be able to swap at their convenience using secure, supported tools through the Vaulta Swap Portal, hosted on Unicove.

What’s Happening

On May 7, a block producer multi-signature (MSIG) was proposed to deploy the Vaulta token contract. This proposal defines $A as the network’s official symbol and lays the foundation for the swap. The MSIG is scheduled for execution on May 14, at which point the swap will officially go live.

Timeline Overview

May 7 — MSIG proposed: Vaulta token contract and $A ticker revealed

May 14 — MSIG scheduled to execute: Vaulta Swap Portal goes live

Mid–Late May — Exchanges begin listing $A and delisting EOS (timing varies)

May 29 — Vaulta Foundation CEO, Yves La Rose, announces Vaulta at Bitcoin 2025 (11:00–11:20am)

How the Swap Works

Vaulta’s token swap opens on May 14, 2025.

Key Details:

  • 1:1 exchange — One EOS converts directly into one $A

  • No fees, no slippage — The process is cost-free and exact

  • Swap your way — Use the Vaulta Swap Portal or participating centralized exchanges

Vaulta is not a fork or a reset. It’s the EOS network—reimagined and rebranded, fully compatible with all existing infrastructure and state history.

Swap Safely with the Official Portal

Advanced users can interact directly with core.vaulta on-chain, but for most, the recommended method is the Vaulta Swap Portal, a secure, intuitive interface designed to reduce risk and eliminate phishing attempts.

If your exchange doesn’t automate the swap, avoid manual transfers and use the portal.

Be Aware of Scams!

The Vaulta Swap Portal is the only swap portal recommended by the Vaulta Foundation. Please be on high alert for scams and phishing attempts. There are no airdrops or any kind of incentives for swapping your tokens. If you see information stating otherwise, it is most likely a scam attempt.

What’s New—and What’s Not

What’s New:

  • Network identity: Vaulta

  • Token symbol: $A

  • Token contract: core.vaulta

What Stays the Same:

  • Wallets, accounts, and contracts remain functional

  • Tokenomics (supply, allocation, vesting) are unchanged

  • Infrastructure and developer tools remain fully supported

  • The existing EOS mainnet becomes the Vaulta mainnet. There is no new chain

Vaulta is a brand evolution—not a technical migration.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does the swap begin?

May 14, 2025.

What’s the new token symbol?

$A replaces $EOS as the native token.

How do I swap?

If your tokens are custodied by a centralized exchange, check with your exchange to confirm if they are handling the swap for you. To swap manually, the official Vaulta Swap Portal is the easiest and safest method. Simply connect your wallet and follow the guided process to exchange $EOS for $A.

Advanced users can also perform a direct on-chain swap by sending $EOS to the core.vaulta account. You’ll receive an equal amount of $A in return.

Do I need to swap right away?

There is no required deadline, but we recommend swapping early to ensure full access to Vaulta features across wallets, apps, and exchanges.

Is the swap bi-directional?

Yes. The swap will be bi-directional for the first four months. During that period, $EOS and $A can be exchanged 1:1 in either direction using the Vaulta Swap Portal. After four months, the portal will support one-way swaps from $EOS to $A only.

What happens if I don’t swap?

Your EOS will remain on-chain, but utility and liquidity will increasingly shift to $A as platforms adopt the new token. While there is no deadline to complete the swap, we recommend doing so early to ensure uninterrupted access across apps, wallets, and exchanges. You will not lose access to your funds, and swapping will remain available beyond the initial transition period.

Will centralized exchanges handle the swap?

Many will. Check with your provider for confirmation.

What if my tokens are currently staked?

Any $EOS tokens that are currently staked will remain staked and continue earning yield. $A tokens that are staked will add to your total stake. When a user unstakes via the core.vaulta contract, all tokens will unstake as $A tokens.

Any fees?

No. The swap is 1:1, with no fees or slippage.

Does the Vaulta token introduce any new tokenomics?

No. The $A token has the same total supply, allocation, and vesting schedules as EOS. Only the ticker and name are changing.

Is Vaulta a new blockchain?

No. It’s the same core Antelope technology, refreshed with a new name and mission.

Vaulta operates using the same mainnet that was previously called the EOS Network. All state history remains intact. The key difference is that the $A token will now be the native resource and governance token with all of the properties that the EOS token previously had.

What happens to my altcoins that I am holding?

Altcoins will not be impacted at all by the Vaulta rebrand and token swap. All of the existing smart contracts, including token contracts, that were previously deployed onto the EOS mainnet will still exist on Vaulta because it is not a new mainnet or network. Therefore, all balances will remain the same as before with no end user actions required.

Do developers need to update anything?

Most contracts will run without change. Developers should update token identifiers to ensure smooth operation with $A.

Are there security risks?

As with any token transition, scams may emerge. Use only official links and platforms. When in doubt, use the Vaulta Swap Portal.

Have the new smart contracts been audited?

Yes, the contracts have passed extensive security audits from both Certik and Sentnl.

The Token Is New. The Mission Continues.

Vaulta marks a bold step forward in programmable finance. With $A, we continue building a secure, decentralized foundation for real-world-ready financial coordination.

Secure your future.
